You are hereby summoned to join a Meeting of Navenby with Skinnand Parish Council to be conducted in the Parish Office, on Tuesday 23rd May at 7.30pm.

AGENDA

1.  Chairman’s Welcoming Remarks.

2.  The PUBLIC SESSION will follow and last for fifteen minutes.  Members of the Public may ask questions or make short statements to the Parish Council. 
3.   Apologies for Absence and declaration of interests - to receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.   And, in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, consider any applications for dispensations in relation to pecuniary and/or prejudicial beneficial interests.
4.  To approve and accept the minutes from the Parish Council meeting, held on Tuesday 4 April 2023. Clerk to update on any outstanding actions.
5.  To resolve and approve the financial report and authorise payments.
6.  To consider updates from District/County Councillors.
7.  To consider matters pertaining to local Policing.

a.  Applications:

23/0552/PNAGR Land opposite Bleak House, Lincoln Road Navenby. Re-siting of existing 2 grain stores located to the north of Navenby to the opposite site with alterations and additional bays.

b.  Correspondence:

23/0287/LBC Clint House, 3 Clint Lane Navenby. Various works approved.
23/0236/HOUS 3 The Gleanings, Navenby.  Erection of single rear extension approved.

c.  Tree Conservation:

23/0555/TCA Applewhite House, 32 Clint Lane Navenby. The felling of Qty 4 sycamore & rowan trees.

9. To consider correspondence.

10.  To consider and approve the co-option of 3 new councillors to replace Cllrs McRitchie, Morris & Woollas.

11.  2023 King Charles Coronation Event – Cllrs Burt & McFaul to update the Council on the outcome of the event. 

12. To discuss holding a Christmas 2023 event.

13.  To consider and approve the renewal of the Parish Council Insurance policy for 2023/24 at a total cost of £3079.37.

14.  Walking Wombles Litter Group – to consider and approve a request for the purchase of Qty 10 litter picking sticks and 2 foldable litter picking trolleys at a cost of £370 exc VAT. 
        
15. Updates from Portfolio Holders 

a. CEMETERY – update from Cllr Gunning.  To consider and approve quotations to repair the Lych gate stone pillars at a cost of “Option 1” £2730.56 exc VAT & “Option 2” £7636.43 exc VAT.                              Also, to consider and approve the purchase of a battery operated Strimmer (plus spare battery) for the Caretaker to use at an estimated cost of £180 inc VAT              .
b. HIGHWAYS – update from Cllr Lamyman.  Re-consider (due to price increase) and approve the purchase of Qty 10 passive speed signs at a revised cost of £200.   Update from Cllr Burt on progress with the Community Speed Watch initiative.                               
c. NAVENBY CAR SCHEME.
d. PLAY AREAS – update from Cllr East. 
e. SCHOOL HOUSE TRUST – update from Cllr Lamyman.
f. LIBRARY – update from Cllr Watts.
g. WEBSITE/IT - update from Cllr Carless & Cllr Delves. 
h. VENUE TRUSTEE CHAIRMAN – update from Cllr Burt. Also, to consider and approve a quotation for the removal of self-set cherry trees on the perimeter of the JC playing field at a cost of £175.
i. COMMUNITY WELLBEING.
j. SPEED INDICATOR DEVICE (SID) – update from Cllr Watts.
