You are hereby summoned to join a Meeting of Navenby with Skinnand Parish Council to be conducted in the Parish Office, on Tuesday 9th January 2024 at 7.00pm.

AGENDA

1.  Chairman’s Welcoming Remarks.
2.  The PUBLIC SESSION will follow and last for fifteen minutes.  Members of the Public may ask questions or make short statements to the Parish Council. 
3.   Apologies for Absence and declaration of interests - to receive and accept apologies where valid reasons for absence have been given to the Parish Clerk prior to the meeting.   And, in accordance with the requirements of the Localism Act 2011, consider any applications for dispensations in relation to pecuniary and/or prejudicial beneficial interests.
4.  To approve and accept the minutes from the Parish Council meeting, held on Tuesday 5th December 2023. Clerk to update on any outstanding actions.
5.  To resolve and approve the financial report and authorise payments.

11. Precept Setting Options.  Select one of the Precept-setting options, as circulated by the Chair ahead of the meeting of 9 Jan 24, to fund the NPC Budget for FY 24/25. 
 
12.  Wellingore & Navenby Royal British Legion. Update from Cllr Everett on proposal to establish closer links.

a. CEMETERY – update from Cllr Gunning.  Consideration and approval of a quotation for the sum of £4750 (VAT EX) in respect of proposed stonework repairs to the cemetery Lych Gate.  
                                     
b. HIGHWAYS – update from Cllr Burt on progress with the Community Speed Watch initiative.  
                              
c. NAVENBY CAR SCHEME – update from Cllr Watson.

d. PLAY AREAS – update from Cllr East.   Consideration and approval of a quotation for the sum of £250 (VAT EXC) in respect of pressure washing equipment & surfaces in North Lane & Twenty Row play areas.

i. COMMUNITY WELLBEING inc Youth Club:

Update from Cllr McFaul on a proposal for the Youth Café to branch out and run a Youth Club for 8-12 yrs on a Friday evening.   Consideration and approval of an NPC donation to the Youth Club.
